User ManualsProduction › How to report Scrap and On Hold Quantity for Operation?

The really handled Quantity that CANNOT be passed to the next Operation can be optionally reported as a Scrap with different Scrap Reasons and different Reactions for any Production Order Operation using "Operation Reporting" form.  The reported Scrap Quantity for specific Operation cannot be greater than Quantity Out successfully handled at previous Operation taking into account the already Reported Quantity for this Operation (including Ready Quantity, Scrap and On Hold Quantities).  The reported Operation will be updated with reported Scrap Quantity.  The Estimated Quantity for Production Order will be reduced in accordance with reported Scrap.

  • If Scrap Quantity is reported with Reaction = "Discard", then the Components assigned to reported Operation will be issued automatically in accordance with reported Scrap Quantity (so, such Components should be preliminary reserved).  The corresponding Inventory Transactions with Type = “PRODISS” (Issue for Production Order) will be saved in the Inventory Transactions History for each issued Component.  The Production Order Work In Progress Moves (WIP Moves) Report will be updated with data about issued Components for discarded Scrap with Types "Components To WIP" and "Components Out From WIP (Discard)".
  • If Scrap Quantity is reported with Reaction = "To Decompose", then the Components assigned to reported Operation will be issued automatically in accordance with reported Scrap Quantity (so, such Components should be preliminary reserved).  The corresponding Inventory Transactions with Type = “PRODISS” (Issue for Production Order) will be saved in the Inventory Transactions History for each issued Component.  After this, the issued Components will be returned back to the original Batches in accordance with decomposed Scrap Quantity.  The corresponding Inventory Transactions with Type = “POSCRDEC” (Decompose Scrap for Production Order) will be saved in the Inventory Transactions History for each returned Component.  The Production Order Work In Progress Moves (WIP Moves) Report will be updated with data about issued and returned Components for decomposed Scrap with Types "Components To WIP" and "Components Back To Inventory (Decompose)".

For each Production Order Operation the On Hold Quantity can be reported that was produced at this Operation, but that cannot be passed immediately to the next Operation, because addition Quality Control is required to check: is it Scrap or not.  The reported On Hold Quantity for specific Operation cannot be greater than Quantity Out successfully handled at previous Operation taking into account the already Reported Quantity for this Operation (including Ready Quantity, Scrap and On Hold Quantities).  The reported Operation will be updated with reported On Hold Quantity.  If this Quantity is not a Scrap, then afterward it will be passed to the next Operation.  Otherwise, it will be converted later to Scrap with corresponding Reaction.  The Components assigned to reported Operation will be issued automatically in accordance with reported On Hold Quantity (so, such Components should be preliminary reserved).  The corresponding Inventory Transactions with Type = “PRODISS” (Issue for Production Order) will be saved in the Inventory Transactions History for each issued Component.  The Production Order Work In Progress Moves (WIP Moves) Report will be updated with data about issued Components with Types "Components To WIP".

The maximum allowed Quantity that can be reported at the NEXT Operation will be calculated as a difference between original Ordered Quantity and Scrap with On Hold Quantities already reported at the PREVIOUS Operations.
